Mountain Pest Control –

Frequently Asked Questions

WILL THIS HURT MY CHILDREN AND PETS?

No, when our pest control products are prepared and applied properly according to label specifications, they will not hurt you, your family or your pets. All the products we use are registered with the E.P.A. We just ask that the pets be removed from the treatment area until it is dry. We will move the dog water and food bowls to a safe location prior to application of your property. Our first priority is the safety of our customers and their pets.

I ALREADY HAVE A PEST CONTROL COMPANY WHY SHOULD I GO WITH YOU?

A successful pest control company provides not only a great service, but is also there when you need them most.  We have quick response times to any problem that arises.  Our programs also come with educating a customer on how to effectively exclude pests from their homes.  We provide a great customer service and are honest.

DOES YOUR PEST CONTROL SERVICE ALSO INCLUDE MICE?

Yes, mice and rats are included in our pest control program.  We not only use traps and bait, but we also will seal up entry points and offer exclusion recommendations.

WHAT IF I SEE PESTS AFTER MY INITIAL TREATMENT?

It is common to see an increase in pest activity for a few days following a treatment of your property. The material is put down to flush out pests at their harborage and breeding sites. During the initial treatment a protective barrier will then remain in place. BUT if you continually see an increase in pest activity we will promptly come back at no extra charge to you, GUARANTEED.

WHY DO I NEED A RECURRING SERVICE?
A routine maintenance service is essential in eliminating the pest population around your home. The duration of most pesticide products used on the outside typically do not last longer than 2 months. A routine perimeter treatment is needed to protect your home from invading pests. These pests go through different life cycles and will occur at different times through the year. Our pest specialist will know which pests are active at these times and how to locate them. We will always provide a progressive service for you.

WHAT IF I GET PESTS IN MY HOME?

We will come back free of charge.  Depending on the pest and level of infestation, we will inspect and evaluate exactly how the pests are entering your home. In most cases, you do not even have to leave your home. The products we use on the inside are no more toxic than many of the cleansers and soaps you currently use in your own home.

I DO NOT LIKE IT WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THEY WILL SHOW UP AND ARE LATE, WILL YOU BE HERE ON TIME?

Yes, our route management will exceed even your expectations.  We are never late and we can sometimes even narrow an appointment down to only a one hour time span.

WILL YOU CALL ME BEFORE YOU SERVICE MY HOUSE?

Yes, we will contact you by phone the night before we service your home.  We can also text or email if that would be more convenient for you.

CAN I PAY BY CREDIT CARD?

Yes, as a convenience to you we have a link on our website that allows you to confidentially input your payment information securely through pay pal directly to us.

I HAVE BEEN SEEING THESE BUGS IN MY PANTRY, DO YOU SPRAY FOR THOSE?

There are approximately 12 major pantry pests.  The key to proper elimination of these insects is knowing which ones are present.  As part of your pest control program we will identify which pantry pest it is and will then tell you what food items to look for.  Once the food items have been discarded the pests will be gone.

WHAT IS YOUR GREEN SERVICE?

Our green service uses the principles of IPM (Integrated Pest Management).  This is a new practice where identifying, exclusion, monitoring and setting pest limit thresholds will help in using less pesticides.  Our green pest control program uses Insect Growth Hormones, baits, traps and low-risk pesticides for our eco-friendly customers.
